Though God has placed families as the main source for kids to learn about God, we get a few times a week to come alongside them and encourage love for God and His Word. It is our joy to know the kids and families of Hurstbourne and work together to train up the next generation to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength…and have a lot of fun doing it!

We believe that God wants us to love, engage, and teach the children in our care in the best ways possible.
What to Expect
At HBC Kids, we offer a safe, loving environment for children to learn about God in theologically sound, age-appropriate ways. During Sunday School (9:30am, birth-5th grade), each child will learn from a set of teachers who will systematically walk through Scripture with them and their peers in fun, engaging ways.
Then, during the main service (10:45am, birth-2nd grade), kids will have an opportunity to worship the Lord in an environment that is interactive, relational, and biblically-sound through singing, Bible story videos, snacks (of course!), and activities focused around the lesson.
Wednesdays
Wednesday nights are special at Hurstbourne because it’s a chance to connect mid-week, oftentimes when we are feeling tired, weary, and in need of some encouragement…and we’re not just talking about the adults!
On Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:30pm, kids birth-5th grade are invited to come and spend their time with us.
Here’s what we have going on:
- 0-3: Nursery
- Pre-K/K: Bible Class & Play (Answers Bible Curriculum)
- 1-5th Grade: Missions & Children’s Choir (+ a little time to run off all that energy in the gym)
