Mike has served on the HBC staff since March 2005. He has pastored in Texas and Tennessee as well as Kentucky. He is the husband of Sarah O’Neal and the father of three children. He has earned a BA from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a PhD from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2006, he published his first book, Interpreting Habakkuk as Scripture. Pastor Mike also serves as associate instructor in the School of Theology at Campbellsville University.

Chris has served on the HBC staff since September 2000. He has also served other churches in Alabama and Kentucky. He is the husband of Jena Kihn and the father of two children. He has earned a BME and a Master of Music from Samford University and has done post-graduate work at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He has earned a BA from the University of Georgia and a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

“Children’s ministry should provide a strong Biblical framework on which to build the spiritual foundation of our children’s lives. As Christians, we must look beyond the cultural norms, beyond what those around us are doing, and we must maintain our actions in accordance with God’s Word. Our children are the future of the Christian faith. As parents, and as a church, we honor and glorify God by presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all children through the teaching and the living out of God’s Holy Word. At HBC, we will serve as a resource to support and sustain the biblical foundation that is being taught and developed in the home of the child. We will introduce children to the attributes of God, to the concepts of worship and salvation, and prepare them for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the power of God’s Word and the work of the Holy Spirit.”

He has earned a BS from Troy State University, an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
