Handbells
Hurstbourne has a five octave set of Malmark handbells. Please contact the music office if you would be interested in participating in a handbell ensemble.
Christmas Dessert Theatre (Second Weekend in December)
The Annual Christmas Dessert Theatre is an outreach to our community. This program offers a great way for people in our community to come into our church to hear a Christmas musical program and the good news of Jesus Christ. The Christian Life Center is transformed into a winter wonderland where our members can share fellowship with each other and our guests. People with construction, set design and decoration skills are needed each year to make this happen.
Media Ministry Team
The Media Ministry is always looking for people that have technical expertise or interest in being trained. This team sets up, operates, takes down and maintains worship center lighting, projections and sound for all worship services and special programs at Hurstbourne. Worship experiences are enhanced by the quality of excellence that this team provides each week. Contact the Minister of Worship & Music or Matt Williams if interested in serving on the Media Ministry Team.
Ushers
It is important for people to be greeted with a smile and a handshake as they enter the sanctuary for worship. Many times the person at the door is the first impression that someone receives of our church, therefore we consider this to be an important service opportunity. The ushers also collect the offering during worship services.
“I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.” (Psalm 84:10) Contact the Church Office or Carl Head if interested in serving in this capacity.
Drama Team
Interested in learning and performing dramatic readings, monologues or skits in worship. The Drama Team meets on an as-needed basis at this time. If you would be interested in participating in this group, please contact the Minister of Worship & Music.
